I worked with Shelter to create an animation of everyday family life - simple, familiar scenes unfolding as if glimpsed through the window of a lived-in home.
The animation was projected onto the front of an empty house on Liverpool’s Cairns Street, a street lined with boarded-up properties. While thousands of homes across the country lie empty, millions of people are struggling without a decent place to live. This powerful contrast formed the core of Vote For Home - a campaign urging the public to join Shelter in calling on the government to address the housing emergency and build more social homes.
By bringing life to a vacant property, the projection reminded people that every empty house could be a home.
